It's an individual choice to make that commitment but collectively we can make a tremendous difference for these businesses and merchants, our neighbors.
All too often we take the quickest or simplest approach to making purchases or dining out without thought to how this affects our own community. Let's continue to think local whenever we can and remind each other of how crucial this is for the sustainability and growth of our community.
If we unite in our commitment to help our neighbors thrive and grow, we will all benefit...and that's something we can be proud of doing together. There are so many community issues that we don't all agree on but this one certainly can be one that should unite all of us.
