The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce Merchant Committee is proud to announce its newest initiative, the Huntington Village Online Passport (www.huntingtonpassport.com), an online directory to everything located and happening within Huntington Village. The Huntington Chamber’s mission is to promote business, economic development, and job creation for all its members.  With that goal in mind, the Huntington Chamber Merchant Committee partnered with the Huntington BID (Business Improvement District) in order to create a strategic online resource to support local Huntington Village merchant businesses, drive traffic into Huntington Village and stimulate economic recovery on a local basis.

The Huntington Village Passport was designed to serve as a highly functional, user-centric online portal for the public which contains important resources and useful information within and about Huntington Village.  Among its many features are a Merchants Directory, map, local news and listing of events located within the Huntington Village area.  In addition, it will provide recommendations for tourist destinations and things to do when visiting this beautiful village.  “It was our goal to create a state-of-the-art online resource which would provide the public with new and useful information about Huntington Village on an ongoing basis,” explained Christopher Erckert, Board Member of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Chamber’s Village Merchants Committee.

The site is also designed to help Economic and Community Development within the Village by providing prospective decision makers the opportunity to view all the great things which Huntington Village has to offer in one place.  “I believe it is critical in these economic times to offer innovative tools and options to Merchants, their customers and the public in order to support communication, encourage and stimulate recovery,  promote quality of life and highlight the quality of business opportunities within the Village ,”  explained Bob Bontempi, Chamber Chairman of the Board.  “By creating a one-stop resource and enabling access to a wide variety of information with ease, we can build access to opportunity for our Merchants which will stimulate economic development and growth at a grassroots level,” he continued.
