Vendors will be available to demonstrate green products and present exhibits geared towards promoting a green environment.

He is considered a leader in utility solution, having established energy incentive programs for Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, Washington Water Power and the Bonneville Power Administration and has also been active with state and national standards organizations on writing new energy codes.   The prestigious panel will include Peter Caradonna, Principal Architect, LEED AP and Art Desin, Chairman, US Building Council, leading experts in the fields of environmental conservation, science, and business and industry who will participate in a panel discussion and will guide attendees on how to build strong partnerships with green related organizations and participate in environmentally responsible initiatives.  Topics will include energy-efficient alternatives, alternate power, solar building, green architecture, and other sustainable options currently available.

“Our annual “Going Green” program will introduce simple “Green” tools, training options and innovative solutions which will provide a framework for our local businesses and corporations to create a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility,” explained Robert Bontempi, Huntington Chamber Chairman. “The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce is committed to the sustainability of the local environment and feels it is important to focus on new state-of-the-art technologies that support an environmentally responsible community,” added Bontempi.   Sponsors to date include Newsday, JVKelly Group, Verizon Communications, Green Peak Group, Home Depot, North Shore Financial, an office of MetLife and LI Development Corp.  For ticket information please call (631) 423-6100 or online at: www.huntingtonchamber.com
