The Hilton Garden Inn was packed and the seminar was filled to capacity as the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce Education and Training Committee coordinated a Social Networking Seminar sponsored by Verizon Communications, Inc. This timely seminar covered several aspects of social media networking in detail and examined how these networking platforms are being used by corporate, businesses and professionals to communicate with the public and colleagues.

Participants received an overview of the importance of social media networking including various options available and how to use each and maximize its ability. Attendees were shown how to effectively leverage multiple social networking platforms without the fear of embarrassment or security risks.  Linked-In, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and U-Tube were reviewed in detail and the benefits of each of these networks were covered.  Ways to turn your website into a social hub were discussed and how interactive websites encourage return viewers which are a tremendous benefit for any organization.  A detailed question and answer period followed the seminar with personal instructions on how to set up and manage the appropriate program for yourself and your business.
