Alex Borg is a young professional continuing in his father's footsteps by working in the family insurance agency. Accompanied by this brother and cousin, Alex strives to expand the family business to the next level. He is an active member of the community and is on the board of the Huntington Townwide Fund.
Andrew Ruditser is, both passionate about technology and business. He founded MAXBURST in 2005 so that he could grow his own company and to inspire others through web technologies.
Andrew Ruditser graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003 and founded MAXBURST, Inc. (www.maxburst.com) in 2005 a web Development Company based in Long Island, New York. Andrew also co-founded menuFrog.com, a Long Island online restaurant directory and is currently working on his newest project which is an affordable do-it-yourself website builder called MAXsitebuilder.
Doug Atkins, Esq. is an attorney with the law firm Forchelli, Curto, Crowe, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Cohn LLP. He practices in the field of property taxation and is a member of both the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations.
Jason Kalmar is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Tranquil Mayhem, which provides action sports enthusiasts with high quality cutting edge clothing and apparel while remaining eco-friendly and innovative by using alternative organic materials. Jason has been admitted to the New York State Bar Association, graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2008, and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Finance while attending Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 2003.
Evan Proios is the communications analyst for Suffolk County Community College a 23,000 student SUNY school. Evan received his undergraduate degrees in technology from Briarcliffe College and his MBA from Saint Joseph’s College. Prior the joining the college Evan spent five years as a network administrator for the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office using technology to bring government closer to the people. Evan currently serves as the Briarcliffe College Alumni President, is an active volunteer EMT with Medford Ambulance and is part of the North Patchogue Fire District’s 21 squad.
Kerri Kankula is an office manager at Arch Dental of Huntington. She earned her Bachelors of Science from Western New England College and is involved with the Alumni Association. Kerri is also an active member of the American Association of Dental Office Manager (AADOM). She also volunteers for the US Veterans, through the Elks Lodge. She is in the process of earning her Masters degree from Long Island University, C.W. Post.
Jourdan Urbach at 17 is a Juilliard Pre-college violin virtuoso and has already received international acclaim: for his musical artistry, his sweeping contributions to MS-focused neuroscience research, and his humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors as founder and director of Children Helping Children, a musical charity organization that raises funds through Concerts for a Cure for cutting edge neurological research, pediatric hospital divisions, and international medical organizations targeting the eradication of neurological disease. To date, Urbach has raised over $1.5 million to fight neurological disease.
Jennifer Enright is a junior in college attending Hofstra University, where she is diligently working towards her bachelors degree in Business Management. She is currently employed at BAE Systems, a large defense contractor, focusing on Energy Management with responsibilities that include curtailment of utilities and Sustainability. Her aspirations are to gain full time employment at BAE Systems upon graduation, in a project management role on the Facilities/Energy Management Team.
Isaac D. Kremer is a professional in the non-profit sector with expertise in marketing, historic preservation, heritage tourism, and grant writing. In his role as Executive Director of the Oyster Bay Main Street Association he is responsible for managing a grassroots and volunteer-led program to improve downtown Oyster Bay. Isaac has a M.A. in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University (2005), and a B.A. in Economics and Management from Albion College in Albion, Michigan (2001).
Robert M. Harper, Esq. is an associate in the trusts and estates department at Farrell Fritz, P.C. He concentrates in trusts and estates-related litigation in Surrogate's Court and Supreme Court.
Chris Lopinto is the President & Co-Founder of ExpertFlyer.com. He is responsible for the day to day as well as long term strategic direction of the company and its products. Prior to ExpertFlyer, Chris founded, built, and then sold an IT consulting company in Long Island New York. Chris is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has been quoted as a travel industry expert in several major news outlets such as WSJ, NY Times, MSNBC, and Newsweek.
Lauren Bayles has her BS in Graphics Arts. She has been working for Nightingale & Nightingale (a PR and Perception Management firm) and interning for the Huntington Chamber of Commerce, where she assists in preparing for events such as "The Fall Festival" and in creating newsletters, brochures and programs, including the one for the "Celebrate Long Island’sYoung Professionals" event.
Nina Petraro, Esq. spents much of my time dealing with issues concerning next generation housing for young Long Islanders, and putting an end to the "brain drain" – where young professionals move away from Long Island to lesser expensive regions of the country. She is a member of Action Long Island's Housing and Development Taskforce, and has been involved with the Long Island Association’s Workforce Development and Housing Committee.
Caitlin Meuser is a senior at Walt Whitman High School. She has been a member of the YPCC for four years, and has been a trophy winner in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 competitions. She is President of both her high school and of her high school's business club DECA. Caitlin looks forward to continue working with the Huntington Chamber as she continues to grow as a business leader in Huntington.
