The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce has won “Best Chamber of Commerce” in the Long Island Business News’ “Best of Long Island Business” Award. The selection of the Huntington Chamber was a considerable feat considering there were over 20,000 submissions which were received by the Long Island Business News. The Chamber was honored along with other finalists and winners at a special reception held at FOUR Studio in Melville.
“The Chamber is honored to been selected as the Best Chamber in the ‘Best of Long Island Business’ Award ,” said Jim Kelly, Chairman of the Board for the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. “Our board, staff and members have worked hard to rebuild this organization over the course of two years. To have these efforts recognized by our peers and the business community on Long Island is wonderful,” he continued.
2008 has proven to be one of the most successful years in the Chamber’s history. The Chamber has hosted several outstanding educational and networking programs for its members including their annual Legislative Breakfast, Business After Hours Networking Events, Economic Summit, Under 30 Mentoring Program, Going Green Business Symposium and Expo, Young Professionals Chamber of Commerce and the annual Long Island Fall Festival.
Based on past successes the Chamber is looking for a very lucrative 2009 filled with both fun and informative events for the benefit of our Chamber members.
