The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce has recently been recognized for its efforts and support of local community business by its nomination in the LI Press’ Best of LI ‘09 awards in two categories.  The categories are “Best Chamber of Commerce” and “Best Annual Event/Festival” for the Chamber’s “Long Island Fall Festival” initiative.   The Long Island Press Best of LI Awards recognizes influential leaders, programs and events on Long Island which make a significant difference within specific categories.  Winners will be selected by number of votes received from the public. 

The Chamber is inviting everyone to cast their vote for these two categories by visiting:  www.votebestofli.com, selecting the category (10) Best Chamber of Commerce, voting for the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and then selecting category (1) Best Annual Event/Festival and selecting the Huntington Fall Festival, Huntington, NY.

This is the fourth year of the annual “Best of LI” Program which has expanded to 175 categories and has awarded more than 508 Best of Long Island recipients.
Award recipients will be selected for first, second and third place.  Deadline for voting is December 15th.  Results will be announced in the January 15th, 2009 issue of the Long Island Press.
