The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce hosted an informative and exciting“Economic Summit X” a symposium, trade exposition and breakfast to address important issues facing Long Island’s businesses and industries. The event was recently held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. It was sponsored by JVKellyGroup, Inc. and Southwest Airlines.
John Kominicki, Publisher of the Long Island Business News, served as the moderator for a panel discussion addressing the future of commerce and industry in the Long Island region. Each panelist represented a specific industry on Long Island and discussed in detail the present state of our economy and how it affects each segment of the Long Island community. The distinguished list of panelists included:

The overwhelming message from the Economic Summit was that Long Islanders should increase their support of local businesses. “It is important for us to focus our efforts on the local economy in order to encourage economic, social and cultural growth within the Long Island community. This will help us build a sustainable and stable environment in which to work and live,” explained Jim Kelly, CEO & Managing Principal of JVKellyGroup, Inc.
