The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce held a Membership Breakfast on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury that featured representatives from Long Island’s most influential media sources. Topics discussed included the top news stories of 2006 and predictions for the important stories of 2007. In attendance were: Joye Brown and AJ Carter from Newsday; Carl Corry from Long Island Business News; Mike Martino from the Long Island Press; Cathy Mennella from Neighbor Newspapers; Peter Sloggatt from the Long Islander Newspaper; Doug Geed from News 12 Long Island and Lily Solzberg from Channel 55/WLNY. The event was moderated by Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce Vice Chairman of Events John Caracciolo.
“Our LI Media Breakfast was a great opportunity for our members to review the top news of 2006 and predict the important stories of 2007 with these key reporters,” said Caracciolo. “In addition, our media event provided a rare opportunity for our members to interact and speak with influential reporters from noted media outlets all in one central location. We thank all our sponsors, including Verizon and Verizon Wireless, for supporting our efforts to produce such a worthwhile breakfast for our Chamber members," he added.
