Welcome to the first virtual reality town ever created on the internet! Kathy Carlini, the creator of www.mytownontheweb.com, with her decades of experience and her ability to be in the forefront of technology, has lead her company to this point in time.
In the 1990’s Kathy created Network Advertising & Multimedia Center, a company whose primary focus was on business-to-business marketing and advertising, with a heavy accent on web site creation and development. Several years ago Kathy came up with the concept of “Virtual Towns”, except she called it “Dimensional Towns” at the time. She knew that the internet was not ready because it was still pretty slow, but she developed the concept on paper, and through much research and refinement over the course of several years, she presented the idea to her design team. They took the concept, refined it even further and took it to another level. Finally, last year she had her first prototype, the town of Babylon - and My Town On The Web was born. That is when she realized that she really had so mething special. Through much back and forth discussion, programming changes, staff additions, design changes, programming modifications, and a tremendous amount of research - she and her eclectic staff has created the future of advertising. Three weeks ago our town of Huntington was launched. You can play games, look up local events, check the weather in real time - basically see what’s going on in our town.
