Whitman Birthplace & Kiwanis Co-Host BBQ 'Fun'-Raiser

The Walt Whitman Birthplace and Huntington Kiwanis Club co-host their annual Barbecue “Fun-Raiser” at West Hills Day Camp, Saturday, Aug. 14, 11 a.m-5 p.m. Highlights of this day of family fun are a full barbecue including steaks, chicken and burgers provided by Outback Steakhouse, and a cash bar at “Walt’s Pub,” which will supply good spirits to cool the summer day, all to the tunes of a DJ and a live jazz band.

The event will be held at West Hills Day Camp which allows families use of many of the facilities. Free activities will include swimming, paddle boat rides, a bouncy castle, miniature golf, face painting, a hole-in-one golf contest and the use of play areas and a ball field. There will also be raffles and a Chinese auction.
 


Admission:
$12 Adults, $8 Children 6-12. Children Under 5 Free
