East Meadow, March 16 – Hofstra University School of Law has named Robin Hasher (Centerport) the recipient of the 2011 Certilman Balin Honors Scholarship, a scholarship awarded to a second year law student. This special opportunity will enable Ms. Hasher to develop a close relationship with Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, giving her the ability to be mentored by the firm’s attorneys and also to work as an intern when her schedule permits.A 2004 graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Hasher earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. After graduation, she worked as an ad sales assistant at New York Magazine and then as a licensing coordinator and associate marketing manager at Scholastic Media. Her jury duty experience inspired her to pursue a law degree.
At Hofstra University School of Law, she ranks in the top 18% of her class, is a member of the Dean’s List and also a Staff Member on Hofstra Law Review. She has served as a Student Advocate at the law school’s Courtroom Advocates Project, as a Legal Intern at the Child Advocacy Clinic, and as a Summer Law Clerk to the Honorable Conrad Singer of Nassau County Family Court.
