Stephanie Gotard

Huntington Historical Society

Stephanie joined the staff of the Huntington Historical Society as Assistant Director in June
2021, assuming the role of Executive Director in October of 2021. She holds a Master of Science
degree in Reading from LIU and a BA in Social Sciences with a Concentration in Secondary
Education from Marywood University (formerly Marywood College) and has been working in
education and not-for-profit cultural institutions for over 25 years. Her prior work experience
includes Executive Director of Leadership Huntington Foundation, Adjunct Instructor at Suffolk
County College, leave replacement at Huntington Union Free School District, and Social Studies
teacher at The Wheatley School. Stephanie is a member of the 100 Women of Huntington. She is
currently on the Board of Moonjumpers Charitable Foundation, is a member of the Huntington
Chambers Arts & Experience and Women in Business Committees. Stephanie served as co-chair
of the Huntington Chambers Education Committee 2016-2019. She also served on the TRI-CYA
Hall of Honor Committee 2017-2023. Stephanie was a Hall of Honoree in 2021 and also
received the Huntington Arts Council Chapin Cultural Connector Award in 2023.
